Valley of Desolation

We love to bring you canvases of all the various beautiful places South Africa has to offer, especially including the very special Karoo.  The Valley of Desolation in the Camdeboo National Park near Graaff-Reinet is absolutely breathtaking.  

There are sheer cliffs and precariously balanced columns of Dolerite, which rise as high as 120m high, against the vast plains of the Camdeboo.  This site is a result of volcanic and erosive forces of nature well over 100 million years old.

It is a place of wide open spaces and those who have visited will surely remember it with fondness.  As I like to say, the Karoo has its own special kind of magic.

This 40 x 50cm picture is challenging and has 30 colours.  Each box contains a stretched, printed and numbered canvas, paint, brushes and a page detailing the numbers for an extra reference.
