Pelican

The Great White Pelican in this image is a large water bird in the family Pelecanidae.  This stunning image of the pelican flying was taken by Johan van der Merwe in the Walvis Bay harbour.  These birds are characterised by a long beak and a large throat pouch and has a wingspan of 1.8 - 3,5m!
